Autumn was beautiful around here this year. I don't remember the colors being so intense in a long time, and most of the leaves clung to the trees until now. Today a strong wind and rainstorm have blown the rest of them down. I always wish fall could last a little longer. It's one final, defiant burst of color before the landscape lies drab and bare for five or six months.
